Junior Infra Engineer
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities

Ensure reliable, 24/7 support for all server infrastructure systems.

Follow best practices for managing systems across all environments.

Work closely with global team members to provide around-the-clock support.

Install and manage software updates, patches, and fixes on servers.

Write or modify scripts to automate routine tasks.
-
Suggest and implement improvements to enhance system stability, security, and performance.

Help design and execute automation and streamlined deployment processes.
-
Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity (BCP) drills.

Manage physical servers remotely.
-
Maintain and manage virtual machines in both internal (ESX) and cloud environments.

Build and configure new serversboth physical and virtualfollowing company standards.

Collaborate with teams including Development, Support, Innovation, and Project Management.

Support planned weekend maintenance activities when needed.
-
Be available for on-call support outside regular hours if required.
What We're Looking For
-
A Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with VMware and Windows System Administration.

Experience with both Linux (Red Hat) and Windows environments, including physical and virtual setups.

Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Practical experience in deploying and setting up physical and virtual servers.
-
Good communication skills and a mindset for continuous learning and improvement.

A team player whos curious, proactive, and enjoys collaboration.
Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

Familiarity with HPE or other server hardware.

Experience with scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python for automation.

Knowledge of Veritas Cluster and Veritas Storage Foundation.

Understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS.
-
Certifications in ITIL v3, project management, or Linux (e.g., RHCT, RHCE).
