Junior Infra Engineer

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable, 24/7 support for all server infrastructure systems.

  • Follow best practices for managing systems across all environments.

  • Work closely with global team members to provide around-the-clock support.

  • Install and manage software updates, patches, and fixes on servers.

  • Write or modify scripts to automate routine tasks.

  • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance system stability, security, and performance.

  • Help design and execute automation and streamlined deployment processes.

  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity (BCP) drills.

  • Manage physical servers remotely.

  • Maintain and manage virtual machines in both internal (ESX) and cloud environments.

  • Build and configure new serversboth physical and virtualfollowing company standards.

  • Collaborate with teams including Development, Support, Innovation, and Project Management.

  • Support planned weekend maintenance activities when needed.

  • Be available for on-call support outside regular hours if required.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with VMware and Windows System Administration.

  • Experience with both Linux (Red Hat) and Windows environments, including physical and virtual setups.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

  • Practical experience in deploying and setting up physical and virtual servers.

  • Good communication skills and a mindset for continuous learning and improvement.

  • A team player whos curious, proactive, and enjoys collaboration.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

  • Familiarity with HPE or other server hardware.

  • Experience with scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python for automation.

  • Knowledge of Veritas Cluster and Veritas Storage Foundation.

  • Understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS.

  • Certifications in ITIL v3, project management, or Linux (e.g., RHCT, RHCE).
