HR Business Partner

Initially based in Hong Kong, with planned relocation to London 
Flexible hybrid working arrangement in London
Relocation support provided

Role Overview:

This is a standalone, generalist HR role supporting the London team across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be trained in Hong Kong before relocating and will serve as the go-to HR partner for the UK business.

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for the London office

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees (stakeholder management)

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding, HRIS updates, and employee records

  • Support salary benchmarking, performance review cycles, and employee engagement

  • Coordinate team-building events and office culture initiatives

  • Ensure HR processes align with UK employment laws and visa regulations

  • Maintain and improve local HR systems and documentation

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of HR experience in Hong Kong (in-house, not agency)

  • Strong generalist background ideally from Financial Services or Tech

  • Hands-on with recruitment and stakeholder engagement

  • Exposure to UK HR practices, systems, and compliance preferred

  • Comfortable working independently and managing a small office HR function

  • Agile, self-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of UK visas and employment law

  • Experience in buy-side or high-growth financial environments

  • Ability to adapt quickly and build HR frameworks from the ground up
