Network Engineer Ultra-Low Latency Infrastructure
Job Description:
Team / Role
- Architect, implement, and optimize high-speed networks for high-frequency connectivity
- Develop low-latency network infrastructure, including RF link planning, site selection, and propagation analysis
- Configure, maintain, and diagnose routing and switching systems for high-performance networks
- Partner with different teams, including but not limited to developers and infrastructure specialists, to maximize network effectiveness
- Conduct detailed network performance analysis, latency optimization, and packet-level troubleshooting
- Fine-tune network paths, RF system configurations, and hardware selection to achieve peak efficiency
- Develop and implement network automation and monitoring solutions for enhanced real-time visibility
- Maintain adherence to telecommunications regulations, spectrum allocation policies, and licensing requirements
You should get in touch if:
- 4-7 years of experience in low-latency or high-frequency networking environments, particularly with time-sensitive network infrastructure
- Relevant experience in Microwave Network Connectivity.
- Strong technical foundation in RF engineering principles, including link budget analysis and antenna optimization
- Comprehensive knowledge of network protocols including TCP/UDP, BGP, OSPF, multicast implementations, and PTP time synchronization
- Demonstrated expertise with network hardware platforms (Arista, Cisco, Juniper) and implementing low-latency networking strategies
- Practical experience optimizing network performance, conducting latency measurements, and performing packet-level analysis using tools like Wireshark and tcpdump
- Proficient with Linux networking environments, scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Ansible), and network monitoring solutions
- Working knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud networking architecture
Good to Have
- Hands-on experience with dark fiber deployments, optical networking technologies, and custom RF solutions
- Previous work in low-latency environments, financial market infrastructure, or telecommunications network design
- Expertise with precision time synchronization technologies (PTP, GPS-based timing, atomic clock systems)
- Capability to implement robust network security measures, redundancy configurations, and failover mechanisms
- Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving abilities in time-sensitive, business-critical production environments
