Project Manager - Operations Transformation
Job Description:
My client a leading US investment banking is seeking an expereinced Project Manager to join their Operations transformation team in Hong Kong. You'll join a key business supporting key Asian markets covering both North and South Asia in helping respond and navigate to regulatory changes and continue supporting the firm's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and oversee project deliveries.
- Project Planning & Execution: Conduct comprehensive project planning, manage status tracking, and prepare reports for steering committees.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate resources and lead cross-functional teams across diverse business areas, including cash equity, derivatives, and fixed income.
- Documentation & Reporting: Write detailed user stories, business requirements, and functional specifications; maintain key project documentation.
- Collaboration with IT: Act as a liaison to translate business requirements into system specifications and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Risk Management: Proactively monitor risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Training & Support: Coordinate training for test users and ensure smooth deployment and verification processes.
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in project/program management within Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for stakeholder management.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in geographically dispersed teams.
- Familiarity with financial services operations and concepts is essential.
- Relevant project management certification is a plus
