My client, a leader in Hong Kong's financial services landscape is embarking on a exciting journey to simplify and transform their business and IT landscape through a multi-year digitalization program. They are expanding the Digital, Data, and AI teams, and are currently seeking a Platform Engineer with excellent level of python to develop and support their next generation data and analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance data platform solutions, including data virtualization, visualization, and data lakes.
• Conduct proof-of-concept and acceptance testing for data platform initiatives.
• Build services and integrate them with both internal and external APIs.
• Collaborate with Architects, Platform Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver software in a continuous delivery framework.

Skills and Experience for success:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data platform development, including large-scale data infrastructure (hundreds of terabytes).
• Proficiency in system design and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, AliCloud) and relevant certifications is advantageous.
