Application Support Engineer / DevOps
Job Description:
Join our client, a leading financial technology company, on the expansion of their Application support group. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the 3rd party applications, delivering professional IT support for users, and improving the monitoring and automation processes.

Onboarding new applications and enhancing existing ones
- Monitoring and addressing software issues, while enhancing system stability.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to swiftly restore services and address underlying issues.
- Partnering with traders, researchers, and developers to develop tailored platforms and environments.
- Driving innovation in processes to streamline time-to-market and enhance productivity.
- Implementing automated and scalable application systems, processes, and controls.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Support/DevOps
- Sound knowledge in application support and incident management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, autonomous, detail minded, and eager to learn new tech
- Experience AWS provisioning (ECS, EKS) through IaC, e.g. Terraform, Ansible
- Implementation and management knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Splunk etc.
Scripting experience in languages like Python, Bash and PowerShell
Hands-on experience of troubleshooting network issues
Comfortable working with and administering Linux as well as Windows
Know-how on monitoring and managing Refinitiv TREP is preferable
Experience in trading application support is desirable.
- Working experience with DevOps tools, e.g. GitLab, Artifactory, Atlassian, Slack etc. are an advantage.
