Python Developer - Low Latency (Equities Trading System)
Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Translate business and technology requirements for new functionality, venues, and upgrades into technical delivery plans and changes across the low-latency trading stack.
- Coordinate and manage technical changes across internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, stock exchanges, carriers, and client teams.
- Partner with Network and Infrastructure teams to shape network architecture decisions that align to application and latency requirements.
- Work with Production Services to provide third-level (Platinum) support, including investigation, incident resolution, and technical remediation for client-impacting issues.
- Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues across all APAC regions.
- Collaborate with global teams to develop, align, and socialize engineering best practices, standards, and repeatable delivery processes.
- Engage with regional and global technology and business stakeholders to ensure solution alignment from design through delivery and support.
Your Expertise
- Strong Python and Unix/Linux skills, including shell scripting.
- Demonstrated FIX messaging experience in an electronic trading environment.
- Familiarity with trading technology domains such as FPGA, low-latency networks, low-latency application development, and exchange protocol frameworks (e.g., OUCH, Arrowhead, HKEX CCCG & OCG).
- Experience with equities trading platforms and the trading life cycle, including low-latency trading and co-location setup.
- Experience across front-, middle-, and back-office systems.
- Experience working with stock exchanges and/or managing trading and market data infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with business sponsors, clients, and third parties.
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in a similar role focused on electronic trading within the finance sector.
