IT PMO - Financial Background (Senior - Director Level)
Job Description:
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver enterprise-level programs end-to-end (from funding initiation through SDLC execution to closure).
- Govern projects in alignment with PMO guidelines, standards, and firm policies.
- Review existing PMO policies and governance frameworks, and update them to reflect evolving business and regulatory needs.
- Provide consistent, timely updates to Department Heads and HQ stakeholders.
- Partner with IT Financials to plan, monitor, and track project budgets and spending against forecasts.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure delivery of agreed scope, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Produce and distribute regular project status reporting for internal stakeholders and governance forums.
- Translate and present governance and program updates for senior leadership at the parent company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience, including 4+ years in IT project governance, PMO leadership, and/or large-scale program delivery.
- Knowledge and experience of investment banking front-to-back office functional workflows is preferred.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills; highly organized, structured, and methodical working style.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of PMO roles, responsibilities, and operating model.
- Ability to clearly articulate the value and impact the candidate will bring to the PMO function and organization.
- Experience with project management tools, budgeting processes, vendor management, and/or offshore teams is a plus.
