Foreign Trade & Traffic Manager Mexico

Reporting to (hierarchical): General Manager México


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

Responsible of the entire foreign trade and traffic processes of Facil Mexico.
Leading and coordinating the foreign trade and traffic Team.
Ensure Facil de Mexico is always in compliance with all Foreign Trade Laws
and regulations and get all the benefits granted by the Trade Agreements and
special programs.
Maintenance and care of all programs and certifications issued by the
Government to the importers (IMMEX, VAT Certification, Special Products
Review at the Source, Sector Registration, Minister of Economy etc.)
Answer to any special requirement and audits from the Tax authorities in
Mexico.
Inventory validity control as per the Annex 24 & 30.
Preparation of reports for the Mexican authorities for tax benefits.
Air shipments (FedEx) & Charter Flights coordination.
Border crossing coordination (In & out bound).
Manage USMCA (T-MEC) documentation accuracy and submission to the
Customs Brokers in a timely and efficient manner.
Negotiate terms and rates with Customs Brokers to reduce costs and
streamline logistics processes.
Negotiate terms and rates with carriers, with the goal of reducing freight costs.
Management reporting for brokerage, taxes, duties, and traffic expenses, align
the monthly results with finance and provide weekly forecasts to keep the
PECE account funded correctly.
Perform market analysis and new developments in the traffic market with the
aim to ensure that Facil is aligned with the best and most cost-effective
transportation modes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Master or minimum bachelors degree in international
Trade and Logistics, Business Management, or equal
by experience

Professional experience

3-5 years in a management function is required
preferably in the automotive sector, transportation

industry, Customs, and logistics

Solid knowledge of the transportation industry, logistics and foreign trade matters.
Knowledge of fasteners is a plus.

Process knowledge
Master of Import/Export processes in compliance with
Mexican regulations.

Language skills
English proficiency.

ICT skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft office package,
knowledge of an ERP software is required. Strong
knowledge of an Annex 24 & Annex 30 software is
mandatory.
