Senior Engineer - Automotive Lamp Design

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:00

Position Overview:

Seeking a motivated individual to assist in the design and development of both exterior and interior automotive lighting systems. This role ensures all designs meet industry regulations and client requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

• Create 3D CAD models and technical drawings for components such as lamp housings, lenses, and mounting brackets.
• Support optical performance simulations using tools like Light Tools or Trace Pro.
• Input and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) within PLM/ERP systems.
• Develop and update design validation plans (DVP&R); assist with prototype builds.
• Work cross-functionally with tooling, electronics, and suppliers to address DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) concerns.
• Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T according to ISO and ASME standards.
• Participate in DFMEA to evaluate and minimize design risks.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design changes and manage revision control.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in automotive lighting or related component design.
• Proficient in CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE, LucidShape or Siemens NX.
• Basic knowledge of injection molding and materials like PC, PMMA, and PC/ABS.
• Good command of English; Thai proficiency is an advantage.
• Prior experience in an automotive lighting company is a plus.
