NOC Agent
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced NOC (Network Operations Center) Agent to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our telecommunications network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network systems and infrastructure 24/7 through the Network Operations Center
- Respond promptly to network alerts, incidents, and service requests
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including wireless and Wi-Fi networks
- Perform initial diagnosis and escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams
- Document all network incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in ticketing systems
- Maintain network performance metrics and generate reports on system availability
- Coordinate with field technicians and other departments to resolve service disruptions
- Participate in change management processes and scheduled maintenance windows
- Ensure compliance with company SLAs and service delivery standards
- Assist in the implementation of network upgrades and improvements
Essential Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a NOC, network operations, or telecommunications support role
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wireless and Wi-Fi network technologies, protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English (written and verbal communication)
- Shift Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays on a rotating basis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CWNA, or equivalent)
- Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security fundamentals
- Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks
- Experience with VoIP, LTE, or other telecommunications technologies
