Financial Accountant
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to monitor financial data and prepare accurate financial statements. The role involves budgeting, reporting, internal audits, and ensuring that all financial records are well-organised and reconciled. Responsibilities
- Prepare underlying working papers for external audit purposes.
- Compile and analyse budgets.
- Liaise with external auditors during audit processes.
- Manage financial statement audits and other agreed engagements.
- Examine, analyse, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements.
- Prepare annual, interim, monthly financial statements and management accounts.
- Organise, prepare, and review bookkeeping transactions.
- Gather and monitor financial data such as sales revenues and liabilities.
- Identify, investigate, and report on accounting discrepancies.
- Conduct risk analyses for potential investments.
- Analyse financial trends.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6-7 years of experience in a financial department.
- Budget preparation and analysis experience.
- IFRS statutory reporting experience (essential).
- Extensive CaseWare experience (essential).
- Tax experience (essential).
- Sage ERP experience (advantageous).
- Additional certification (e.g., CPA) is beneficial.
- Experience with consolidations is advantageous.
