JOB TITLE: Quality Manager
REPORTING TO: Director
LOCATION: East London / King Williams Town, Eastern Cape
TRAVEL: Required within the Eastern Cape region; must be willing to sleep out when necessary

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of our Quality Management System across multiple production sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes, ensuring compliance with SANS standards, and providing laboratory support to monitor the quality of aggregates and final concrete products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, implement, and maintain the companys Quality Management System

• Conduct inspections and laboratory testing in accordance with SANS standards (SANS 1058, 1215, 927, 201)

• Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and regulatory compliance

• Implement and monitor quality control plans and process improvements

• Identify non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement

• Enforce compliance with industry regulations and internal standards

• Collaborate with site teams to ensure consistent application of quality protocols across all production yards

• Provide training and guidance on quality procedures to site personnel

• Contribute to successful audit outcomes through diligent preparation and system maintenance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Grade 12

• Tertiary Training/Certifications: SCT 24; knowledge and application of SANS 1058, 1215, 927, 201; laboratory testing

• Experience: Minimum 7 years of field experience in quality control within the construction or concrete manufacturing sector

• Language Proficiency: English (verbal and written)

• Drivers Licence: Code B (Required)

• IT Proficiency: MS Office Suite
