Job Description:
To ensure the collection, analysis and reporting of sales related data in an ongoing effort to increase overall sales productivity, profitability and provide support to the sales team.
Development and tracking of sales metrics to improve decision-making. To provide an analysis service to Butcheries, Supply Chain and Production.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or Finance.
A degree in Supply Chain or Logistics can be an advantage

1. Collection, Analysis & Reporting
- Advanced use of statistical analyses tools/applications.
- Provide general sales reporting and analysis that assists in monitoring sales performance through the sales information system.
- Provide data and analytical support for internal presentations and business reviews.
- Create dashboards, measures and reports as required/requested to support analysis and decision-making.
- Channel data analysis, product movement, customer and consumer purchase data, consumer behaviour, etc.
- Assists with interpretation and strategic insight from the myriad data types that are available.
- Assists in the identification and development of business opportunities through analysis and interpretation of customer, market and consumer data.
- Sales forecasting to facilitate accurate production planning.
- Attend sales calls/meetings with sales team as required.
- Monitors/maintains a customer specific data base.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional efforts in the market using available data sources.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications

3. Trade Marketing
- Develop, manage and implement National Promotions calendar across all Retailers in line with the Companies Marketing Campaigns.
- Track and report results of National Promotions
- Support Marketing team wil all Retail Activations
- Manage and Implement all Spaza branding and activations in the Informal (Masakhane) Channel.
- Manage all Trade Marketing related deliverables as required by Sales including Trade Presneters, product catalogues etc.
4. Pricing Strategies
- Cost-Plus Pricing:Monitor the production costs (raw materials, processing, packaging, etc.) and ensure that pricing strategies are built around covering costs and achieving target margins. This strategy also involve periodic price adjustments based on cost fluctuations.
- Competitive Pricing: Pricing decisions must be aligned with what competitors in the meat market are offering. The analyst compares internal prices against competitor prices to determine where the company stands in terms of value for money
- Promotional Pricing: Short-term pricing strategies, such as discounts or bundling offers (e.g., "buy one, get one free"), need to be carefully analyzed to assess their effect on short-term sales versus long-term brand equity and profitability
