Customer Relationship Manager - Angola
Job Description:
Our client, a global leader in the FMCG and industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic Client Relationship Manager to drive business growth and strengthen customer partnerships across Angola and the Southern African region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting sustainable commercial growth within a fast-paced international environment.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Grow the business sustainably
- Derive, define, and implement the personal action plan to contribute to sustainably & profitably grow the PP, SMB, but also the CS business of the defined territory and assigned Business Units (achieve agreed budget top & bottom line)
- Keep costs on agreed yearly budget (Structure costs)
- Geographic & BU focus/ responsibility: Southern Africa with key focus GM/MB but also other BUs
Customer focus
- Understand customer needs - Analysis of the demand for Company offerings/ solutions (Market development, trends, competition, etc.)
- Strengthen and develop customer trust and relationships of strong existing customer base & win new customers.
- Build strong stakeholder management on all levels & implement Key Account Management where applicable.
Relationship
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners within the Region & Sub-Region (Customer Service, quote, technology, fulfilment, etc.) as well as towards key people of assigned BUs.
- Support other stakeholders in achieving their targets (e.g., commercial to avoid & reduce open payments)
Best practices
- Use and follow the company SQ-process (sales cycle)
- Use the company CRM as well as the company complaint system as key tools for the daily sales work.
- Gather and share key information material from assigned BUs within the sub-region
Requirements:
- Strong background in milling, nutrition (other BUs a plus) and relevant working experience
- Bachelor Degre/ Diploma: Mechanical Engineering
- Strong commercial understanding
- Leadership experience and potential
- Tools: CRM, Complaint mgmt., Microsoft Office
- Business English on strong level; every further local language an advantage (Portuguese)
