Mobile Crushing Plant Operator

Location: East London (with travel to Fort Beaufort & Stutterheim as required)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Mobile Crushing Plant Operator with hands-on experience operating mobile cone crushers, mobile VSI crushers, and mobile screens. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and productive operation of mobile crushing equipment in both construction and mining environments.
This role requires technical competence, adherence to production targets, and compliance with all site and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor mobile cone crushers, mobile VSI crushers, and mobile screens in accordance with production requirements.

Conduct daily pre-start checks, maintenance inspections, and report defects or hazards immediately.

Adjust crusher settings to meet product specifications and production targets.

Load, feed, and maintain consistent material flow through the plant.

Perform minor maintenance and assist in breakdown repairs when necessary.

Maintain clean and organized work areas around mobile units.

Comply with all Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, company safety procedures, and environmental policies.

Support the team in relocation and setup of mobile plant between various sites (East London, Fort Beaufort, Stutterheim).

Complete daily production reports and log sheets accurately.
Minimum Requirements

Certificate of Competency and/or relevant Training Certificate for crusher operation (mandatory).

Minimum 3 years experience operating mobile crushers (Cone, VSI, and Screens) in construction or mining environments.

Sound knowledge of crusher maintenance, material gradation, and safe operating practices.

Valid drivers license and reliable transport.

Willingness to work extended hours and travel between regional sites as operationally required.

Must be medically fit and able to pass mine medical examinations and skills assessments.
