Localization Project Manager (Remote, Contract)

About the Role
Were seeking an experienced Localization Project Manager to lead multilingual e-learning and digital content localization programs for global public health and education initiatives. You'll coordinate distributed teams of linguists, QA reviewers, and accessibility experts to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across multiple languages and formats.
Responsibilities

Manage localization workflows, schedules, and budgets across multiple concurrent projects.

Liaise between internal teams and client stakeholders to align expectations and terminology standards.

Oversee translation memory (TM) and termbase (TB) management, QA cycles, and reporting.

Ensure adherence to ISO 17100 and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2).

Support continuous improvement through analytics, retrospectives, and CAPA tracking.
Requirements

5+ years in localization project management or e-learning production.

Proficiency with Trados Studio, Trados GroupShare, or similar CAT environments.

Strong understanding of multilingual workflows, QA tools (Xbench, Verifika), and version control.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Availability for collaboration within 09:00 - 17:00 CET hours.
Preferred

Experience with translation for health, education, or NGO projects.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Jira-based coordination.
Contract Type: Freelance / Remote
Duration: Long-term framework agreement (renewable)
Compensation: Competitive daily rate (USD-based, dependent on experience)
