1. Job Summary

The Business Development Associate (Data-driven) supports the Assistant Managing Director in analyzing data, preparing reports, and coordinating business improvement projects. This role does not involve client acquisition. It is ideal for fresh graduates who are analytical, fast learners, and interested in the logistics industry.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Data Analysis & Reporting

Assist in analyzing shipment data, costing, GP, and operational performance.

Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management.

Support the creation of dashboards and data visualizations.

Identify basic patterns, trends, and insights from operational and financial data.

B. Business Development Support (Non-sales)

Conduct basic market and competitor research (rate trends, service offerings).

Assist in preparing presentations and business proposals.

Support feasibility studies for new routes, services, or business initiatives.

Gather data from internal teams for strategic review.

C. Project Coordination

Help coordinate cross-functional projects assigned by the Assistant Managing Director.

Track progress, follow up with departments, and summarize updates.

Support process improvement efforts and workflow optimization.

D. Executive Support

Prepare meeting materials, summaries, and insight reports.

Present data findings in a clear and structured manner.

Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners when required.

3. Qualifications (Fresh Graduate)

Must-Have

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical thinking with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Good communication and presentation skills; professional appearance.
  • Good command of English (reading and writing).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
  • Fast learner with a strong willingness to understand business operations.

Nice-to-Have (Optional)

  • Internship experience in data analysis, business analysis, or business support roles.
  • Basic understanding of process flow or project coordination.
