About the job (Logman) Legal Officer

Job Purpose:
To provide legal support and ensure the companys compliance with laws and regulations in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. Responsible for contract review, legal advisory, and risk mitigation related to business operations and international trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and revise commercial contracts, including freight forwarding agreements, transport contracts, lease agreements, NDAs, and international service agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal departments on matters relating to business operations, customs, transportation, and trade compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze new laws, regulations, and government announcements relevant to logistics, customs, transportation, and cross-border trade.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, dispute resolution, or legal claims.
  • Prepare legal documents such as power of attorney, corporate certifications, and other supporting materials.
  • Ensure company policies and practices are in compliance with applicable legal standards.
  • Represent the company in dealings with government authorities such as the Customs Department, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Transport.
  • Maintain and manage legal records and documentation systematically.
  • Support compliance and risk management teams in assessing legal risks and implementing preventive measures.
  • Work closely with senior management and executives, providing clear and confident legal recommendations that support business decisions in a fast-paced, modern leadership environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Law (Holding a Lawyer License or Barrister-at-Law certification is a plus)
  • Experience: Minimum 13 years of experience in legal practice
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial law, labor law, customs law, and international trade law, including Incoterms
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and legal drafting skills
