Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Customs Clearance team with an optimistic mindset, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Ensure smooth customs clearance workflows, resolving challenges with proactive solutions.
  • Verify and provide accurate information on HS codes, import licenses, and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize the Customs Declaration Program efficiently for streamlined shipment processing and data accuracy.
  • Guide clients on customs documentation, declaration procedures, and regulatory updates.
  • Ensure correctness of goods declaration, certificate of origin (Form C/E), and import/export filings.
  • Provide insights on customs regulations, tax benefits, and compliance protocols.
  • Manage customs clearance operations for FCL, LCL shipments via land, air, and sea freight.
  • Maintain strong, positive communication with government agencies, customs officials, and logistics partners.
  • Train and mentor junior team members with encouragement, constructive feedback, and skill development.
  • Stay updated on customs laws, trade agreements, and evolving declaration program features.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (preferably in Logistics Management or International Business).
  • 5+ years of experience in customs operations within a freight forwarding or logistics company.
  • Customs Specialist Certificate issued by the Customs Department.
  • Expertise in customs operation processes, including shipment declarations and compliance handling.
  • Proficiency in Customs Declaration Program for documentation and system processing.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire teams with positivity and drive.
  • Optimistic mindset and high energy, ensuring a motivating and supportive work culture.
  • Own vehicle (for government bureau visits and branch coordination).
