Assistant Storekeeper

Our ships need a lot of supplies each cruise to make sure we have everything our guests need to have the best possible vacation. Our Provisions Team, are our Super organized behind the Scenes stars who manage & control all receiving, Loading , storing, distribution and inventories of all food and beverage provisions and supplies. Joining Carnival as an Assistant Storekeeper is the first step towards a rewarding career on-board out Fun Ships! To understand & follow company specifications. Receive, pack, count, issue & deliver good received. Report any discrepancies to Storeroom Management in a timely manner. To assist in physical loading of all Food , Beverage & Supply items and ensure that all items are stored & stacked as per USPH requirements To maintain a clean and safe workspace, ensure that all areas of responsibility are kept in clean and sanitized condition. Maintain strict adherence to protocols for preventing cross-contamination between different types of food items. Ensure First in First Out (FIFO) system is followed and report spoilages etc. To ensure that Cold rooms and freezers are maintained at the recommended temperatures & any inconsistencies are reported promptly to Storeroom Manager. To ensure that Stock on Hand is accounted for and no unauthorised personnel enter the storeroom by keeping storerooms locked when not in use. Ensure proper documentation process as per company guideline is followed while issuing the goods. Liaise with Storeroom Manager on a daily basis in regard to slow moving items, inventory issues etc. Be willing to undergo training in the safe and efficient operation of pallet jacks to support the loading and unloading of supplies Ensure company specified uniform including safety gear is used & company provided freezer jackets are used while entering Freezer Rooms. Maintain awareness of safety procedures and emergency protocols relevant to onboard operations. Participate in safety drills and training sessions as required by the ship's management To assist the Storeroom Management in all areas within the storeroom as required. Fluency in conversational English, positive attitude, and motivation. Well groomed, follows proper hygienic practices. Applicants should have some knowledge of Food, Beverage & Hotel Supply products.
