About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join the sales team and drive new client acquisition. This is not just a pipeline-building role it also requires helping refine and improve the sales process so it is consistent, scalable, and effective.

You will be responsible for researching and targeting the right companies, building strong outbound pipelines, and engaging directly with decision-makers. At the same time, you will help refine how the sales process works in practice: where leads go once qualified, how they are tracked, and how we ensure no opportunities are lost.

The ideal candidate has a background in staffing or recruitment sales, understands how to sell solutions to senior executives, and has hands-on experience improving sales workflows and CRM processes. You thrive at the intersection of strategic targeting, outbound execution, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify companies that align with target industries and hiring needs
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Qualify leads by assessing company size, business model, and staffing potential
  • Engage directly with decision-makers (Founders, CEOs, COOs, VPs, Directors) to understand hiring goals and pain points
  • Present staffing solutions and articulate how we can help clients scale more efficiently
  • Work closely with leadership to refine targeting strategies and optimize pipeline development
  • Track all activities and maintain accurate records in CRM tools (Apollo, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads for closing
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all outreach and opportunities in the CRM

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally in the staffing or recruitment industry
  • Proven success in building and managing outbound sales pipelines
  • Experience conducting cold calls and engaging with senior decision-makers
  • Strong research skills with the ability to identify the right target accounts
  • Strategic mindset able to balance volume with precision in targeting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (C1-C2 level)
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (HubSpot, Apollo, or similar)
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

  • Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT (flexible)
  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor
  • Compensation: $1,200/month + competitive bonus based on performance
