About the Role

We are hiring a Mid-level DevOps Engineer for a healthcare solutions provider in the U.S. that specializes in marketing, patient engagement, and end-to-end support for accessing treatment. This company simplifies the care process for patients by coordinating everything from qualification and insurance to fulfillment of medical supplies - all while being HIPAA-compliant and technology-driven.

This role is ideal for someone with solid Linux (Ubuntu) experience, who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys contributing to reliable, secure cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of AWS environments, including RDS, VPC, and EC2
  • Provision, configure, and monitor cloud resources
  • Collaborate with senior DevOps engineers to maintain secure and scalable systems
  • Administer and optimize Ubuntu-based servers
  • Perform system updates, security patches, and general maintenance
  • Assist with RDS setup, monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Troubleshoot basic database connectivity and performance issues
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment automation
  • Write and maintain scripts for system automation (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools and alert systems
  • Ensure system reliability and availability through proactive support

Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in DevOps or systems administration
  • Production experience with Linux (Ubuntu)
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS services like RDS, VPC, EC2
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools and scripting languages
  • Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative mindset
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher) with the ability to conduct complex technical conversations with minimal grammatical mistakes and a clear pronunciation.

Additional Information

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Independent contractor
  • Work Hours: 9am to 5pm EST
