About the Role
We are looking for a Customer Operations Specialist to support a leading US-based book distributor that provides bulk book orders to corporations, schools, and organizations.
In this role, you will ensure a seamless client experience by managing quotes, processing orders, coordinating logistics, and serving as a trusted point of contact for customers. You will work closely with the sales team to support revenue growth while taking ownership of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Order processing: Processing sales orders and entering information accurately into the companys systems.
- Quote and order management: Handling custom quotes, generating PDF quotes, and managing the status of pending orders.
- Customer liaison: Acting as a key contact for customer inquiries regarding order status, delivery, and any other issues.
- Logistics coordination: Working with fulfillment and logistics teams to ensure timely and correct delivery of bulk book orders, including complex shipments to multiple locations.
- Resolving customer issues: Assisting in the resolution of customer issues related to orders, including quality claims, pricing corrections, or shipping problems.
- Administrative support: Providing administrative assistance to Account Managers and the sales team so they can focus on revenue-generating activities.
- Product knowledge: Maintaining current knowledge of our products and services to provide accurate and timely information to both sales reps and customers.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience: Experience in a sales support or customer service position is highly beneficial.
- Administrative skills: Strong organizational, data entry, and multitasking abilities are crucial for managing client accounts and tracking orders.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication are necessary for liaising with customers and internal teams.
- Problem-solving: The ability to troubleshoot customer issues and find effective solutions is important for client satisfaction.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in standard office software is expected.
Additional Information
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Contract Type: Independent Contractor
- Compensation: $1,200/month
