About the job Academic Quality Controller
The Academic Quality Controller (AQC) is responsible for ensuring that all academic programs, teaching practices, assessments, and institutional processes comply with established quality standards and accreditation requirements. The role works closely with faculty, department heads, and administrative teams to develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance systems that promote excellence in teaching, learning, and research.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Compliance

Develop, implement, and monitor academic quality assurance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Ensure compliance with national accreditation standards, institutional policies, and external audit requirements.

Conduct regular academic audits, program reviews, and course evaluations.
Curriculum & Program Oversight

Review and evaluate new and existing academic programs for quality, relevance, and compliance.

Coordinate periodic reviews of syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment methods.

Ensure alignment between curriculum objectives and institutional learning outcomes.
Data Monitoring & Reporting

Collect, analyze, and report academic performance data to leadership and accrediting bodies.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student outcomes, teaching quality, and academic improvement.

Prepare quality assurance reports and recommend corrective and improvement actions.
Faculty & Staff Support

Provide training and guidance on quality assurance processes, documentation, and best practices.

Support faculty in designing effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.

Facilitate peer reviews, teaching evaluations, and academic benchmarking initiatives.
Continuous Improvement

Lead initiatives focused on continuous academic improvement and innovation.

Develop and manage feedback mechanisms involving students, alumni, and employers.

Monitor follow-up actions from audits and reviews to ensure timely completion.
Qualifications & Experience
Education

Masters or Doctorate degree in Education, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in academic quality assurance, accreditation, or higher education management.
