processes by specializing in comprehensive, talent-led solutions that help our customers streamline operations, maximize efficiencies, and unlock the full potential of offshore markets.

Job Overview
We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Product Quality Engineer to be our on-site quality lead at our FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) vendor. You'll be the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters, ensuring that products meet the rigorous standards from New Product Introduction (NPI) through mass production and sustaining phases. This includes everything from incoming material and assembly through final shipment. This role is crucial for maintaining customers world-class product excellence and driving continuous improvement with our manufacturing partner.
You'll serve as customer's eyes and ears on the ground, proactively identifying and mitigating quality risks, leading root cause analyses for production issues, and implementing effective corrective actions.
Your expertise will be vital in establishing and enforcing quality gates, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring strict adherence to the customers product specifications and performance targets. This role is crucial for delivering exceptional product quality at scale and upholding the customers reputation for excellence.

Job descriptions:

On-site Quality Leadership & Assurance (NPI & Sustaining): Be the customer's primary quality
representative at the FATP/CM factory, driving a culture of quality excellence and ensuring standards are met throughout the entire assembly, test, and pack process. You'll implement and oversee robust quality control processes across the FATP lifecycle for both new product introductions and existing products, including incoming materials inspection, in-process quality checks, and final product inspection.
Supplier Evaluation and Audits: Conduct comprehensive assessments and audits of new and existing suppliers, including both FATP and commodity suppliers. Evaluate supplier capabilities, processes, and quality management systems against industry standards and the customer's requirements, identifying and documenting potential risks and areas for improvement. Develop and execute corrective action plans to address identified deficiencies.
Process and Product Quality Control: Develop, implement, and monitor robust in-process quality controls, inspection plans, and test methodologies to ensure the integrity of the assembly process and finished product. Review AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) data and create process controls to alert production and quality teams of any process drift.
Testing Design and Validation: Evaluate vendor testing design and capabilities, including system-level testing. Ensure the necessary tests are in place to guarantee quality in new product production and at the system level in the field.

Issue Resolution & CAPA: Lead immediate containment, root cause analysis, and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for all in-line defects, factory failures, and outbound quality issues, driving timely resolution with the CM.

Yield Management & Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor, analyze, and drive continuous improvement of manufacturing yields at each stage of the FATP process, identifying and addressing yield detractors for both NPI ramps and sustaining production. Monitor overall supplier performance through key metrics (e.g., defect rates, on-time delivery, yield).

Finished Goods Audit & Release: Implement and manage comprehensive finished goods audit
processes, ensuring product compliance to specifications before shipment and authorizing product release to market.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, yield, audit findings, customer returns) to provide data-driven insights to the customer's engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
Process and Factory Efficiency Improvement: Contribute to and lead initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing processes and factory efficiency at supplier facilities, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies for both new and existing production lines.
Quality Documentation: Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection plans, test procedures, and quality agreements.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support: Actively participate in NPI builds (EVT, DVT, PVT) at the factory, identifying and resolving quality and manufacturing challenges early to ensure smooth mass production ramp-up for new products.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the customers internal departments (production, logistics, quality, engineering) and foster strong working relationships with the FATP/CM quality and production teams to ensure smooth operations and achieve the customer's quality objectives.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality) or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality management,
specifically within consumer electronics, high-tech manufacturing, or a similar industry, with a strong focus on both New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining production quality.
On-site Expertise: Proven experience working directly with FATP/CM manufacturers in Asia,
particularly in Vietnam.

Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS), their implementation, and practical
application.
o Familiarity with product reliability testing, failure analysis (e.g., 8D), and advanced measurement techniques.
o Strong understanding and experience with in-process quality checks, incoming quality control (IQC), and final product inspection (FQC).
o Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
o Ability to evaluate vendor testing design and capabilities, including system-level testing.
o Familiarity with AOI data analysis and implementing process controls based on manufacturing data.

effectively across different cultures and organizational levels.
