Sensory Specialist
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement sensory and consumer research methodologies, including discrimination, descriptive, and hedonic testing.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and performance monitoring of sensory panelists.
- Conduct statistical analysis of sensory & consumer data and provide technical report with actionable insights to guide product development and decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support research and development activities.
- Maintain and manage sensory laboratory, including procurement and administration of sensory tokens and other testing-related materials. Oversee sample preparation and ensure adherence to testing protocols.
- Support ad-hoc requests and projects related to sensory testing and product evaluations, ensuring timely delivery of results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Sensory Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in sensory evaluation, consumer insights, or product testing (experience in food and beverage industry preferred).
- Proficiency in sensory methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with sensory/consumer software tools such as XLSTAT is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
