Project Cost Controller
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Support project cost tracking in line with Australian project standards
• Monitor project spending against approved budgets
• Identify and explain cost variances
• Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Assist with cashflow tracking and WIP reporting
• Work closely with Project Managers, Procurement, and Commercial teams
• Maintain accurate project data in Xero and Excel
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Australian financial
requirements (GST where applicable)
• Support contract cost review and variation tracking
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in project cost control (engineering or construction
environment preferred)
• Experience working on Australian projects or familiarity with Australian
commercial practices
• Proficient in Xero and advanced Excel
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
