Senior Project Manager (Construction)

 Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager in landed residential projects. This role involve site management, budgeting and leadership.


Job Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Direct and oversee all phases of landed residential construction projects, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.


Site Operations & Team Leadership

  • Manage on-site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure 

    smooth project execution.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and project coordinators to build team capability.


Cost & Budget Management

  • Monitor and control project expenditures, assess progress claims, manage variation orders, and allocate resources effectively to protect project margins.


Programme & Risk Management

  • Develop and track detailed project schedules using MS Project.

  • Proactively identify risks such as weather disruptions or supply constraints and implement timely mitigation measures.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the main liaison between clients, architects, engineers, 

    consultants, and internal teams.
  • Lead coordination meetings and resolve technical or site-related issues efficiently.


Quality & Safety Control

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with 

    specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Enforce safety practices in accordance with local regulatory requirements.


Regulatory & Authority Compliance

  • Collaborate with Qualified Persons (QPs) including architects and engineers to ensure adherence to approved drawings and statutory requirements.
  • Manage inspections and approvals with relevant authorities (e.g., BCA).


Issue Resolution

  • Address unforeseen technical and site challenges, such as ground condition issues or structural discrepancies, with practical and timely solutions.


Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare project progress updates, meeting minutes, and handover documentation for management and clients.


Job Requirements

  • At least Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, 5 years of direct experience managing landed residential projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Microsoft Excel, and other project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of local building regulations and safety standards related to landed housing developments.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Effective crisis management and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and make sound, timely decisions on site.
