Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all safety conduct measures are in compliance to statutory Acts & legislative requirements
• Work closely with SHE department on necessary corrective measures
• Implementation of appropriate safety measures on site
• Strengthen existing safety culture through continuous improvement of safety standards
• Responsible for driving 5S projects & Safety Recognition within the department
• Administer all statutory equipment within the work site and 3rd party inspection
• Ensure compliance to operation SOPs and safe work recommended by Process Safety Management project team
• Responsible for the compliance of Personal Safety Action Plan (PSAP)
• Carry out investigations and reporting on all safety related incidents
• Conduct daily safety inspections ensuring site activities are in compliance to safety requirements
• Monitor all key work areas within the shop floor for safety compliance
• Oversee subcontractors on site to ensure safety compliance at all times
• Conduct monthly safety communication sessions and meeting within the department
• Conduct weekly Confine Space Inspections before entry to work for workers
• Co-ordinate emergency preparedness drills
• Involve in Internal Auditors for ISO 18001 & 14001

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE O Levels and above
• Min. 2 years relevant experience in Manufacturing, Building and Construction Industry
• Possess Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) or equivalent (Safety Coordinator Training Course) or
• Possess Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant or equivalent (OPISCS) or
• Possess Manage Work At Height certificate or
• Possess Supervise Work in Confined Space Operation Certification or
• Possess Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan or equivalent (bizSAFE Level 2 Risk Management Course) or
• Possess Occupational First Aid Training
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability
• Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment
