Quality Management Technician
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming inspection from all part suppliers as required.
- Perform in-house First Article dimensional measurement and inspection, when necessary.
- Participate in parts qualification activities.
- Able to understand mechanical drawing and set-up Coordinates Measuring Machine (CMM), Smartscope or other metrology equipment is an added advantage.
- Perform Vendor Source Audit (Processes) and prepare an auditing schedule to ensure that designated vendors are audited on a regular basis.
- Work with Vendors to resolve quality issues and to minimize future reoccurrences of parts failure.
- Provide technical support in failure analysis of parts reject in the production line, when necessary
- Participate on assigned projects as and when required and establish and correlate inspection tools and checking methods.
- Perform maintenance and housekeeping of tools, gauges and instruments (including internal and external calibration).
Requirements:
- Nitec/ ITC in Precision, Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline
- At least 2 to 3 years QA relevant experience.
- Knowledge in QMS & EMS, ISO 9001 & 14001 :2015 Standards.
- Possess experience in performing process and system audit
- Well-versed in reading mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing
