Job Description

  • Attend to customers enquiries, concerns and issues on freight services;
  • Process orders from customers and prepare shipping documents;
  • Prepare billing to customers;
  • Arrange custom clearance and declare permits;
  • Arrange the trucking and collection of cargo, if the customer requires this service;
  • Communicate and coordinate with Customer Service Department such that any changes in vessel details or delay in arrival dates will be made known to the shipper via phone or email;
  • Ensure all cargoes are sent in good condition and any damages shall be reverted to customers immediately;
  • Verify vendors invoice and close files;
  • Pass down whole set of consol file (carrier arrival notice / payment voucher / agent bill / indemnity letter & tally sheet / invoices);
  • Call carrier for exchange rate and arrival date;
  • Fax arrival notice to individual customer with the container no. / seal no. / exchange rate / vessel arrival date / cargo details / house B/L;
  • Complete all the arrival notice and delivery order within 2 days before vessel arrives, fax the HB/L cum arrival notice to customer as you finished;
  • If customer cant make payment and exchange d/o in time, need to send a reminder and follow by a phone call to check with consignee whether facing any problem and at the same time will feedback to overseas agent;
  • Surrender Master & Carrier B/L in order to truck out the container within free demurrage period;
  • Prepare agent invoice for any freight collect shipment and debit note (if any) ocean freight collect on behalf from agent at origin;
  • Make payment to carrier before vessel arrives and surrender Master B/L.

Job Requirement

  • Nitec / Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in the logistics industry or shipping management
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships (both internal and external)
  • Good problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure
  • Well-organized with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work independently or in a team-based environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working Hours: Mon to Fri (9am till 6pm)
  • $2500 - $2600
