Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Reliability Matters, the successful candidate will work as part of a small yet high performance team in developing and driving implementation of a strategic roadmap on the risk management, governance and assurance activities in the hospital.
  • You will lead and manage process reviews, risk assessment workshops to improve the risk culture and governance of the institution.
  • You will support the Head of Department, who is also the Data Protection Officer, on data protection and governance matters.
  • Develop good understanding of the institution's operating functions and process workflows, via continuous risk assessments and testing of internal controls during review of processes, to assist in the identification of control gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Identify, design and develop data analytics routines to support compliance and process reviews
  • Assist the Data Protection Officer to oversee the data protection responsibilities within the institution and ensure compliance with PDPA and other relevant privacy regulations
  • Formulate strategies and develop initiatives to promote a positive internal control culture
  • Assess impact of government data policies and related regulations such as PDPA to business operations. Conduct scan and create/update policies and processes to ensure compliance
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior team member(s)
  • Perform ad-hoc projects, investigations and administrative duties, where required

Requirements

  • Degree from an established university in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of working experience in auditing. Experience in data protection work will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or Chartered Accountant (CA), will be advantageous
  • Good project management skill and comfortable working with figures and details. Experience in data analytics would be considered favourably
  • Meticulous, ability to analyse complex issues for identification of root cause and recommendation of practical remediation measures
  • Team player with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
