Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Provide medical services to patients in the Premises as well as Out-of-Premises Medical Services in a timely manner
- In providing medical services to the patients, be responsible for the patients clinical outcome as well as the safety of the patients
- Ensure that medical services provided to the patients are carried out in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines of the Relevant Authorities, and where required, to seek the necessary approvals from the Relevant Authorities prior to providing the medical services and treatment
- Ensure that all procedures carried out by the Doctor are in compliance with the best medical practices and with the guidelines of the Relevant Authorities
- Be available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for cases of emergency that may require immediate attention
- Prepare a set of policy and processes relating to drug procurement, drug storage and management, and prior to the finalisation and implementation of such policy and processes, to discuss and obtain approval
- Responsible for, and ensuring the experience of, the clinical management including but not limited to ensuring the competency of the staff, management of all drugs, imaging and laboratory test among others
- Carry out necessary training for the staff on a frequent basis and as and when required to ensure the competency of the staff
- Carry out inspections on a frequent basis to ensure company as a medical services provider is in compliance with the applicable laws and relevant regulations of the Relevant Authorities
- Assist with the expansion of company, but not limited to establishing and opening up new clinics outside Singapore
- Observe all relevant laws, ethics and customs of medical profession
- Comply with the lawful and ethical directions from time to time and shall not except in cases of illness, physical constraints or absence caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control or power, absent himself without consent in writing
- Not to disclose any professional secrets or any information with respect to the practice or affairs of company
- Not to attend to any patient, dispense any medicine or perform any operation for any person other than at the Premises or as directed by company, save where prior written consent of company has been obtained as set out under clause below:
- Take proper care in the use of all medical equipment, fixtures and all other fittings provided and bring to the prompt attention in the event that there is any deficiency of any unit or type of medical equipment or fitting
- Ensure proper recording of patients medical records
- Ensure that all fees for consultation and any services to the patients be charged in accordance with the fees that have been fixed and agree by company that company have the authority to determine all other hospital charges and to issue all necessary receipts for the same
- Ensure that all pharmaceutical and medical supplies are supplied from the pharmacy of company unless otherwise instructed by company or the patients, or if the prescribed pharmaceutical and medical supplies are not stocked by company
- Where patients ask for discounts, to discuss the amount of discounts to be given to the patients before informing or agreeing with the patients of the same
- Remain registered with the Singapore Medical Council, maintain his own professional indemnity coverage at all times and hold valid Practising Certificate with company; and
- Where locum tenens be required, to ensure that the locum tenens be registered with the Singapore Medical Council, has adequate professional indemnity coverage and holds as a valid Practising Certificate
- Carry out all instructions given by company from time to time without delay. Where deadlines are issued, time is of the essence without explation
- Do all things to the best of the abilities in the discharge on the duties
Requirements
- Possesses post graduate medical qualification that is recognised by the Singapore Medical Council
- Possesses specialist accreditation in medical oncology (Singapore) and a fellow of academy of medicine Singapore (medical oncology).
- At least a minimum of 4-5 years oncology specialty working experience
