Electrical & Instrument Technician (Day shift / Plant)

 Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the planning, supervision and execution of maintenance and TAR Electrical, Instrument and Analyzer activities
  • Accountable for the supervision and execution of day to day Electrical, Instrument and Analyzer maintenance activities including PM / CM.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of Electrical, Instrument and Analyzer in the plant.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting the plant Electrical, Instrument and Analyzer issues.
  • Responsible for compliance to all Procedures, Routines, Logs and other Operational Processes.
  • Responsible for providing technical support during pre-commissioning/commissioning and start-up.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Team to resolve day-to-day Electrical, Instrument and Analyzer problems
  • Work with Maintenance Team to supervise and implement the works according to the schedule and requirements.
  • Support process improvement, productivity and reliability projects.
  • Able to identify the different types of instrument cables and work according to the specifications.
  • Able to troubleshoot the instrument loop problems.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigation and accountable in closing action items
  • Any other day to day operational matters as required.

Requirements

  • 5 years of E&I experience in Chemical Process Plant
  • Basic Knowledge about different types of control valves/Field transmitters-construction and maintenance.
  • Must be familiar with test equipment like Multimeter, Loop calibrator, Pressure calibrator etc.,
  • Able to work long hours during emergencies to complete the work and attend to emergency call-out and provide night-shift support during plant start-up and shut-down period.
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment standards/specifications especially with local codes and industry practices.
  • Familiarity with P&ID Diagrams, Loop Diagrams.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Protection relays with knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment under tight schedule.
  • Able to work with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Knowledgeable in field instrument and control valve, practical experience is added advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with self-initiative in solving day-to-day Electrical, Instrument and Analyzer issues
  • Holding a Class 3 Driving licence will be an added advantage.
