General Ledger Executive

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile the company's general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, such as GAAP and SOX.
• Prepare and file tax returns and assist with tax audits.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes and provide financial analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
• Continuously identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to streamline accounting processes.
• Undertake a variety of clerical and filing duties as necessary ensuring accuracy and high standards at all times.
• To undertake any additional reasonable duties at the request of your Line Manager.
• To undertake any training and development activities at the request of your Line Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Essential that you have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook/ Word/ Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail is essential as is the ability to organize in a structured and logical way.
• Adaptable and flexible approach as there may be an occasional need to work outside of the core hours.
