Conference Producer Head (MICE)
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- In-depth industry research to outline a commercially successful conference program and ongoing digital content opportunities
- Research on industry trends, copywriting and conceptualizing content with team members and professionals to get market input for content writing
- Development and management of new and existing relationships with relevant market stakeholders from technology/service providers, and government officials
- Build and maintain relationship with advisory committees, recruiting and managing high profile speakers, performing effective communication with content partners, advisory committee, speakers bureau
- Speaker identification and acquisition of both technical and strategic (including c-suite) industry influencers and business leaders
- Overseeing technical conference call for papers campaigns and managing the submissions, review and evaluation processes
- Take part in regular internal project meetings to ensure effective communications within the team and project timelines are properly managed
Requirements
- Minimum 7 - 8 years experience in B2B large-scale conferences as a leading producer across in-person and digital conferences at international level
- Experience in producing and managing integrated event campaigns that drive demand, pipeline and brand preferences (in-person and digital conferences)
- Commercial and customer-focused mindset, and an eye to translate market requirements into a well-written program
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to persuade and influence
- Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial curiosity to find out more about new developments in relevant markets and sectors
- Propose new event concepts through research, development and evaluation of commercially driven topics
- Ability to work independently and proactively to deliver project deliverables according to deadlines
- Experience in the management of a team, leading that team to successful accomplishment of its goals.
- Willing to collaborate with internal teams to optimize the overall event performance
