Field Support Representative (Aerospace / Jap)

 Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible supporting the Entry into service of retrofit support operation, meeting customer requirements and expectations, technical assistance and manpower allocation, in case of working party.
  • To ensure effective communications between the BU and operators.
  • Responsible supporting in the field (on-site customer location and on-wings), including:
    • Retrofit support operations in case of retrofit campaign and manpower allocation, in case of working party
    • Meeting customers and maintain and improve Safran Seats relationship with Customers
    • Technical support on-site: Troubleshooting on-wings, Identification of technical design and quality issue (and associated reporting to Seats Product Support & Engineering Teams), Technical interface and facilitator for the Customer
    • Support Programs & Sales teams with inside intelligence (fleet size, C-check schedule)
    • Maintaining an up to date macro view of project status
    • Coordination of Retrofit and/or inspection and rework/refresh activities: planning, assigning and directing the schedule of work, PO follow-up and data management (using QRQC method in cooperation with the Airline)
    • Managing resources / manpower requirements in case of On-site Working Parties
    • Issuing reports, ensuring status is communicated regularly and clearly (follow field support processes, intervention reports, SoC)
    • Ensure compliance with CAAC/EASA/FAA/JCAB regulations under Part 145 and MRO/Airlines quality standards
    • Escalate to Program & management every point which may require higher level input

Requirements

  • Master or bachelors degree in general engineering (electronics/Mechanics is a plus) with min 5+ years of experience within the Aeronautic industry in a customer-facing role, such as final assembly line or aftermarket / aftersales services/management
  • Organizational & project management skills
  • Communication & negotiation Skills (fluent in English & French is a plus).
  • Training skills able to provide trainings to Airlines/Customer staff
  • Comfortable generating presentations, reports
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with Airlines & MRO
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering / technical drawings and data
  • Ability to problem solve, analyse and troubleshoot electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Cabin interior, repair systems, operations, methods, procedures, and all related EASA or FAA requirements.
