Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Groups policies and relevant laws/ regulations in respect of financial matters and contribute positively to the companies profitability and return on investment by exercising effective cost control measures and asset management.
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate financial and management accounting functions
• Ensuring that accounting for monthly / quarterly / yearly closing are completed on time and accurately
• Ensuring compliance to accounting standards
• Review of accounts reconciliations and schedules
• Review and approval of payments and other banking applications
• Oversee annual audit and annual statutory accounts
• GST and tax computations and filing
• Continuously review internal control processes for effectiveness and relevance, and recommend improvements
• Ensuring capital expenditure requests are within budget
• Provide advice, guidelines and instructions to shared services centre and review their performance according to Service Level Agreement
• Provide support to Reporting team to formulate budget and forecasts
• Cashflow and foreign exchange management
• Review and co-ordinate insurance coverage of companies assets
• Collaborate with Digital Technology team user acceptance tests for new programs, automation to improve work processes, parameters and interface set-ups, etc

Requirements

• University degree or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA) in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 6-8 years of working experience in finance & accounting
• Audit and Automotive experience preferred
• Strong knowledge in areas of accounting, taxation, finance, commercial law
• Strong excel skills, business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills
• Good management skills and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
