Facilities Engineer
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Hands on with facilities management (80%) and Workplace Safety and Health (20%) in manufacturing industry
- To liaise with 3rd party vendor as part of the facilities activities are outsourced
- To develop maintenance plans and schedules for inspection, testing, repair and predictive maintenance of equipment and systems
- Verify that recommended repair works for equipment and system failures are implemented
- Review recommended repair works and solutions to address equipment and system failures
- Involved in lead root cause analysis of equipment and system failures and malfunctions, and develop reports
- Testing, maintenance, and repair records to evaluate impact of trends, and potential malfunctions and solutions
- Handle housekeeping procedures and standards to ensure adherence to required quality standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on operations and evaluate feasibility of identified resourcing requirements to achieve operational state in accordance with organisational standards
- To review operational plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and systems
- Review methods of application for emerging technologies to improve performance monitoring and process troubleshooting
- To drive departmental plans to ensure compliance with the organisational Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies
- Review contractor and vendor compliance with the organisation's WSH standards and practices
- Ensure proper closure of WSH accident and incident investigations and their notification to relevant authorities
- Ensure implementation of sustainable engineering procedures and guidelines
- Analyse viability of proposed continuous improvement initiatives and drive change management
- To acquire and allocate resources to support business operations
- To develop risk management plans and risk controls in alignment with organisation's risk management framework
Requirements:
- Degree/ Diploma in Facility Management, Environment, Health & Safety or related engineering discipline
- Min 3 to 5 years of facility hands-on experience from manufacturing environment
- Certified Fire Safety Manager by Ministry of Manpower plus point
- Candidates from Facilities Technician to Engineer background plus point
- To support any ad-hoc factory emergencies e.g. power failure as and when needed
- Experience in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering Management
- Strong problem solving skills and decision making skills
- Experience Hazards and Risk Identification and Management
- Experience in Maintenance Strategy Management
