Sales Manager - Food Processing Machinery
Purpose of the Job
As a Sales Manager selling food processing machinery to Human nutrition or pet foods industry or similar will be special considered markets, your primary objective will be to prepare, coordinate, and close sales by establishing and nurturing customer relationships, all while driving market growth to maximize sales profits.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage sales and business development for single machines, plants, and projects, including spare parts and service contracts within the Human Nutrition (HN) and Pet Foods Processing sectors, covering all customers in Thailand and providing support to the sub-region.
- Identify projects and opportunities across all Business Units (BUs) within the Business Area (BA).
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular visits and phone calls.
- Generate leads by engaging with new customers and business partners to establish long-lasting relationships.
- Serve a large existing customer base across various business units.
- Identify and establish fruitful partnerships with resellers and/or agents in Thailand and the sub-region (e.g., Laos).
- Achieve company's objectives through meticulous customer visit planning and accurate sales forecasting, with the goal of meeting and exceeding order intake and revenue targets.
- Prepare sales forecasts and manage the sales budget.
- Drive business development for both existing and new customers.
- Maintain open communication and provide frequent updates to the Head of Sales, closely collaborating with the Regional Business Area Manager and support team.
- Efficiently manage information flow from customers to internal departments involved in the process chain (e.g., Quotation, Engineering, Technology, Customer Service, and Administration).
- Adhere to company guidelines, especially regarding pricing, contracts, payment terms, and code of conduct.
- Present products, solutions, and quotations; negotiate and finalize contracts to achieve optimal company profit and customer satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive market analysis and competitor insights, and create customer mappings.
- Effectively use CRM tools in all aspects of management and data entry.
- Coordinate with headquarters for regional business solutions and manage sales expenses responsibly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Mechanical / Industrial / Food Engineering or related fields
- 3 years of experience to selling food processing machinery to Human nutrition or pet foods industry or similar will be special considered
- Effective communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence.
- Fluent in Thai and upper intermediate proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Good listening skills and an understanding of customer needs.
- Strong technical expertise to provide high-quality consultations.
- Proactive, curious, and creative mindset focused on solutions and growth.
- Task-oriented and target-driven with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments.
