Job Duties / Responsibilities

1. Responsible for assessing credit worthiness of SME Business Loan, Mortgage Loans, Factoring applications as well as counter party-limits.
2. Adjudicate credit submissions and document credit decisions in writing, in accordance with established Groups credit policies and guidelines;
3. Approve credit submissions, credit deviations and transactional excesses within delegated credit authorities;
4. Guide team members to prepare written credit proposals and reviews and recommend credit lines for new and existing clients;
5. Oversee collections of loans in arrears and manage recovery of non-performing loans;
6. Ensure team members complete periodic credit reviews on time;
7. Ensure accurate and complete documentation on credit files prior to funding sign-off;
8. Ensure the Group has a perfected security interest under the applicable jurisdiction prior to funding sign-off;
9. Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of the Groups Credit procedures and product programs to minimize risk and improve underwriting;
10. Assist in the development and implementation of new lending programs;
11. Oversee timely completion of CDD reviews, clear hits that are triggered by monitoring system and approved CDD forms.

Qualification, Required Experience, Competencies and Skills

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Banking/ Business or equivalent.
• Over 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Experience in business development and client relationship management in addition to credit evaluation and approval roles is a strong plus.
• Experienced in managing teams, with a few years of lending experience to start-ups and proficient with the factoring product would be advantageous.
