We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join us as a finance business partner to one of the leading electricity retailer. You will lead a Finance team to provide timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting, ensure smooth finance operations, budgeting and management reporting. You can expect to experience a wide scope overseeing all functions of a business unit in an interesting and dynamic industry.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full accounting functions for a retail business unit, including AP, AR, GL, year-end audit, tax computation and statutory accounting.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports in accordance with accounting standards, tax regulation and in compliance with accounting policies.
• Manage a team handling payments, customer collections and refunds for a high volume retail business.
• Lead a team to represent Finance for enhancement of retail / finance application systems to meet changing business needs (e.g. new payment mode) and to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage the timely preparation and submission of management reports, margin and cost reports, and cash flow projection.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting process for the business unit. Provide finance advisory and support to the business, and together drive the performance of the business unit.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy with at least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Self-starter with a growth mindset, who is able to operate effectively in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with finance and business application systems (e.g. CRM, banking platforms) for a high transactional volume industry will be preferred
• Strong leadership and people skills with the ability to collaborate with varying team demographics
• Audit experience will be an added advantage
