Project Buyer (SAP / Plant)

Responsibilities:

To support and negotiate purchase requirement mainly for projects and operational requirement
Work closely with Procurement Managers and Project Director
Takes an active role to manage procurement plans and negotiations for maximum cost savings
Manage purchases in SAP and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Understand and coordinate stakeholders requirement to prepare tendering documents and RFQ
Collaborate with stakeholders the technicalities and negotiate for lower cost of ownership
Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend the selected vendor with details on commercial and technicalities
Negotiate contracts and pricing
Ensure vendors deliver goods / complete services on a time
Resolve disputes or issues with vendors of any form
Liaise with Finance on any advance payment needed
Understanding vendors business portfolio to enable strong recommendation for project execution
Lead and present any assigned projects, improvement plans or new business introduction to Procurement, Project team or relevant departments

Requirements

Degree in Engineering or equivalent with min 8 years of relevant working experience in a Gas and Petrochemical industry
Project procurement management is a must
Possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Resourceful in sourcing for materials / services required by the organization
Contract Management experience
Knowledge of SAP Purchasing Module and SRM
Strong MS Office skills
