Responsibilities:

• Design of electrical and electronic circuit designs for surveying & engineering instruments & sensors; will work on all the product phases (design, development, testing of prototypes, manufacturing & implementation)

• Work with internal multi-discipline groups (e.g. production engineering, procurement, quality management & production planning) & with external EMS/technology partners

• Liaise with a multi-functional & international-oriented global development teams using a structured product design & development methodology.

• Implementation of the sub-systems such as opto-electronics (transmitter & receiver), MEMS, sensors, disto, audio peripherals and wireless communication devices integration.

• To design general analog and digital circuit board development such as microcontroller/microprocessor based platform development as well as wireless and sensor circuit developments that meet project requirements.

• Develop test methodologies using test equipment to evaluate design concepts & produce relevant documentation like black/white box testing.

• Overseas travels is required

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master in Electronic Engineering or any equivalent discipline

• At least 5 to 8 years of product design experience in related field.

• Experience in gyrometer and disto a MUST

• Experience in opto-electronics (transmitter & receiver), laser, MEMS and sensors design such as temperature & humidity, accelerometer as well as their devices integration.

• Ability to appreciate the use of board circuit development tools such as OrCAD Capture, PCB Editor, signal integrity simulation etc.

• Hands-on experience in the development of test processes and procedures.

• Familiar with embedded firmware (C/C++) development in microcontroller platform.

• Good knowledge of various industrial standard interfaces and protocols such as JTAG, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, MIPI and USB.

• Must work in an organized manner & is able to create detailed & structured plans.
