Desktop Support Specialist (12 months contract, Town)
Job Description:
Responsibilities
The Desktop support Specialist reports to the IT Manager, Singapore, and is responsible for providing Information Systems Technology leadership and support for all locations and employees in his or her respective country. Work involves collaborating with the Regional IT organization to ensure sound delivery of all that is required from Information Technology.
- Work closely with the Infrastructure Manager, APAC and the APAC IT Organization to deploy and leverage global infrastructure capabilities including
- IT service delivery
- Communications & collaboration
- Cybersecurity & compliance
- Ensure that infrastructure maintenance tasks associated with local sites are scheduled and completed.
- Provide management and support for local and corporate managed infrastructure
- Ensure 1st and 2nd level support for workspace enablement products and services
- Develop and document installation, operational and upgrade procedures
- Support continuous improvement programs and initiatives
- Manage IT system changes and business impact
- Maintain business continuity and resumption planning for all computer systems and infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate IT inventories and facilitate disposal of IT assets
- Ensure that all Users are onboarded and understand acceptable use of IT resources and IT Policies
- Conduct perioding training and retraining
- Support internal audit activities during preparation and execution.
- Support the delivery of local, regional, and global IT projects.
- IT Budget management for all sites.
- Vendor oversight
Job Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering or other management related disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an information technology role spanning IT infrastructure and operations.
- Data and voice network systems management and monitoring
- Microsoft Windows server management and desktop operating systems and experience and end user software
- Demonstrates the technical ability and knowledge to quickly integrate implement and document new technologies while supporting and maintaining the existing core systems.
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills.
