Assistant Manager, Insurance (Automotive industry)

 Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor status & stay abreast of market trends in order to continuously innovate & deliver excellent services & products
  • Collaborate with various internal & external stakeholders to leverage & synergise resources to achieve company objectives
  • Increase revenues through developing & executing strategies that help improve renewal retention and diversify revenue streams
  • Negotiate & define products suited to Groups objectives
  • Lead & manage the team to deliver KPIs with strong focus on digitalization & customer-orientation
  • Measurement & management of teams operations and be a Subject matter expert in all matters processed by the respective teams
  • Daily supervision on teams Frontend, backend & retention, ensuring SLAs/ TATS are met
  • Review/ track daily production metrics, oversee staffing including leave planning and staffing etc.
  • Monitor status & stay abreast of market trends in order to continuously innovate & deliver excellent services & products
  • Assist to develop the Customer Journey initiatives
  • Handle escalated cases, VIPs or management deals
  • Handle corporate insurance & fleet policies, cover note issuance and submission
  • Handle Renewal Enquiries as well as process renewals and insurance Extensions
  • Evaluate processes and eliminate unnecessary procedures/ data entry to improve efficiency by leveraging on technology.
  • Ensure accuracy of information provided to Underwriters and also in data entry
  • Ensure compliance to professional standards & polices set by the Insurance regulatory
  • Manage Trade Specific Agents registrations/ queries/ renewals/ trainings
  • Coordinate between underwriters and clients in insurance matters 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of motor insurance experience with CGI Certification
  • Good leadership and people managing skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a team environment while able to work independently
  • Ability to solve complex problems within tight deadlines
  • Good negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good analytical and time management skills
  • Meticulous , organized and possess initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office
