Material Team Lead (Aerospace)
Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Provide People and process leadership for SIOP, planning, procurement, vendor management, and indirect purchasing teams
- Support the development and deployment of the AFM strategies within the region
- Partner with global planning lead to implement improvements to regional and global SIOP process
- Manage inventory forecasting, associated optimization and reduction strategies
- Manage trade compliance activities associated with all material transactions and shipments (inbound and outbound)
- Facilitate and implement improvements in demand forecast accuracy for the region
- Engage with relevant functions and teams at both internal and external suppliers to establish industry standard supply chain operations practices including but not limited to shipment notification reporting, arrears burn down, purchasing order status reporting
- Establish supplier performance scorecards, develop associated recovery and actions plans
- Prepare and support customer business reviews providing updates on supply chain activities, actions plans and delivery recovery plan
- Participate and lead business improvement activities through the use of company lean system to drive improvement in key business performance measurement.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, standard work, code of ethics and international trade compliance
- Lead and develop the team with ultimate accountability for team performance.
Requirements
- At least Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline.
- Strong strategic (process-driving improvement) mindset
- Strong IT skills especially SAP and excel databases to enable effective materials management and forecasting.
- Results Driven, Proactive with a desire to ensure material availability throughout (the) business, enabling us to maintain our reputation as a centre of excellence
- Understanding and application of lean principles would be an advantage. Using process to drive results.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills. Willing to work odd hours to have virtual call with internal sites
