Task:

This role is part of the Singapore Infrastructure team, working with our business counterparts based out of different locations across the Asia and Europe. Primary focus will be IT Sales, RCoC divisions where you will be supporting the business to maintain the stability, transforming the applications, supporting the delivery of enhancements/new projects. You will collaborate with customers, transformation/transition teams and Digital foundation architects.

Building relationships to understand our customer is key. As a trusted technical advisor, you will use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives. You will help ensure their short-term technology decisions aligned with their long-term goals. Speeding up the adoption of globally defined infrastructure standards of services will be part of your day to day.

Your main responsibilities will include the following:
Tasks and Deliverables

• Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM for creating and managing virtual machines
• Database Management: Understanding of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and their administration
• Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and cloud resource management
• Support the Business Partner Manager in consulting ITx in technical question regarding existing services out of the service portfolio (in both on-prem and cloud environmental solutions out of Azure, AWS, DHC, etc)
• Performance Tuning: Ability to optimize system and network performance through various tuning techniques
• Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues effectively
• Automation: Experience with scripting and automation tools (i.e. DevOps pipeline)
• Govern implementation process from technical perspective
• Ensure integrated solution that satisfies business specific needs (e. g. on plant / production operations level, automation control systems, facility management, etc.)
• Act as interface to Technology Domain & Innovation Architects and Portfolio
• Management to develop the services on business needs
• Analyze and specify technical requirements for infrastructure that require profound expert knowledge
• Support on "last level" for complex environment issues based on deep application and platform know-how
• Responsible for translating customer needs, & technology opportunities into detailed technical offerings, solutions & proposals
• Work with architectural leads in building highly resilient, scalable, secure and cost-effective infrastructure for hosting the business application
• Vendor Management: Experience in working with infrastructure vendors and managing service-level agreements (SLAs)
• Capacity Planning: Ability to forecast and plan for future infrastructure needs based on current usage trends
• Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Documentation: Proficiency in maintaining detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations and changes

Requirement:

• Master/Degree from a reputable university or significant course work in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering or other computer-related fields of study

• Minimum 6 years of experience in IT consulting (plan/build/run) on infrastructure services

• Sound knowledge and relevant work experience in IT Infrastructure
  Having experience in the role of a Solutions Architect with expertise spanning various domains

• Possessing familiarity with cloud-native architectures such as Azure, AWS, etc.

• Demonstrating effective communication skills to convey technology impacts and benefits to customers, facilitate project progression towards desired changes, and articulate transformation journeys.

• Having prior experience in IT Service Management and familiarity with relevant tools.

• Possessing proficient conflict management skills.

• Exhibiting enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies

• Comprehending agile and waterfall methods and processes, with the ability to support agile project teams by offering advice and guidance on opportunities, impacts, and risks, considering technical and architectural considerations
