Position: Credit Analyst (Commodity Trading)
Industry: Commodity Trading
Location: Temasek Avenue
Salary Range: S$4,000 to S6,500
Responsibilities:
- You will be in charge of the risk assessment of customers, establishing appropriate credit limits
- Analysis of credit exposure
- Responsible for performing financial analysis of customer financial statements, where you will derive risk profile to establish suitable credit limit
- Preparation of analysis write-up to obtain approvals for decisions not within designed authority levels
- Liaise with relevant parties to have better understanding of customers financial condition for complete credit analysis report
- Prepare, verify, track and publish daily credit report for all approved counterparties for both physical and paper transactions
- Flagging out credit limit exceeds, decide the next course of action (e.g obtain LC/cash collateral/waiver)
- Handle L/C related matters (negotiating with relevant parties, verifying issued/received LC)
- Responsible to negotiate favorable credit limits & status with counterparties
- Obtain and handle documentations from new counterparties that are needed credit assessment
- Performing annual review on existing counterparties
- Liaise & negotiate with counterparties for parental guarantee or payment undertaking issuance, ensuring T&C are acceptable for companys business (in consultation with legal team)
- Stay updated with latest developments for all approved counterparties (e.g commercial, banking, fluctuations in ratings, country risks)
- Managing accounts receivables, ensuring proactive and reactive credit control takes place.
- Ensuring counterparties payment collected in line with contracted payment terms
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree required
- Min 2 years of experience in similar capacity within the commodity trading industry, with recognized professional finance/credit qualification (e.g CFA, ACA, CIMA)
- Knowledge in market risk, credit risk
- Knowledge in financial and energy business
- Possess good negotiation and communication skillset
- Open to personal growth development by taking courses
